Are You Ready To Stand For Life, Liberty And The Pursuit Of Happiness?

This from United For Peace And Justice -

Nonviolent Direct Action

As part of the three days of antiwar actions on the weekend of Sept. 24-26th, United for Peace and Justice is organizing a mass nonviolent direct action at the White House on that Monday morning, Sept. 26th. The action will be carried out in accordance with agreed upon nonviolent guidelines and will dramatically articulate the depth of opposition to the war in Iraq. People from all walks of life and from varied social change traditions are encouraged to join this effort.

Elements of the day will include an interfaith religious delegation seeking to pray at the front steps of the White House, as well as groups that will make an effort to leave on the fence around the White House the names and pictures of both Iraqis and U.S. servicepeople who have died in this war and occupation, and messages from individuals that explain their opposition to the war. In the coming weeks more details will be posted on this web site, so be sure to check for updates.

UFPJ will be organizing a training session for those affinity groups, organizations and individuals that want to be part of this action. Details on this will be available soon, as will a form to indicate your interest in participating in the White House protest.

UFPJ will also be participating in a process to share information, co-coordinate legal support, and work in solidarity with those who plan and participate in other non-violent decentralized, autonomous actions on Sept. 26th.

Please be sure to check back to this site for more details in the coming weeks.

Is it just me?

Is it just me, or does it seem that there have been a lot of Aircraft mishaps of late? I'm working on a paper that will tell about the Armegeddonists and their ties to a very powerful base. Your government.

AUGUST 13/14 GREENS GATHERING, JAY MC GINNIS FARM, NEW PARK, PA

Posted by: csteelatgburg on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 - 08:36 PM
Please enjoy a relaxing weekend on a solar-powered country farm in rural York County. Bring your tent, food to share, musical instruments, and great ideas to build the Green Party of Pennsylvania! Event begins at 2:00 Saturday, earlier arrivals OK, and culminates with the GPPA Meeting on Sunday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. FMI Phone the farm: (717) 382-4754 – Jay. Please, no Styrofoam, virgin paper or other unsustainable or un-recyclable containers.

I'm seriously thinking about joining the Greens. The Democrats do not share my values. I don't think my vote will carry any more or less weigh, but I'll most likely join for educational purposes. A solar powered farm? Just that would be something to see.

I've been thinking on what I would like to post on my blog. I have come to the conclusion that I'll cover politics, sustainable living(Energy issues) and stories from my life that I have found educational and funny. My effort in politics is to promote peace, understanding and tolerance. I will focus on Human Rights, enfranchisement and exposing the lies of people who promote War, disinformation and Intolerance. I'll mix in a joke or 2. I welcome people in good faith and I want to hear your stories from your life and please, as many jokes as you want to post.
